6-Day Tunisia Hiking Xperience Details

Most visitors never see the Tunisia that is green, wooded and mountainous, which is exactly where this walk goes.

The Kroumirie hills above Ain Draham are cork oak forest, wet and cool, with trails between villages and views north to the Mediterranean. Further south the Dorsale range rises to Jebel Chambi, the highest point in the country, through juniper and Aleppo pine.

Days are on foot with a local guide, on paths used between villages rather than waymarked tourist routes, with vehicle support between trailheads. Evenings are in small guesthouses and family-run auberges.

Moderate walking, four to six hours a day, on a route we adjust to the group.
